our origin
During a big year of film production in 2022, our founder Zimy (@zimydakid) had to surround himself with fellow creatives and friends in order to keep up with the demand. These collaborations led to an extremely successful result with dozens of films produced and nothing but fully satisfied clients.
January 1st of 2023, the film company Zimy’Z Filmz was born as a natural continuity of Zimy’s work in a constant effort to bring quality productions without losing Zimy’s original style and spirit.

Our team is made of highly creative professionals that grew up as the first generation of this new school of filmmaking.

OUTDOOR
When shooting outdoors, we depend 100% on the elements. It requires a lot of knowledge and planning regarding lighting and terrain in order to be at the right place and at the right time to tell the story we want and this is exactly what we love: we thrive when being challenged by the elements !
AERIAL
With years of experience operating drones, we have all the skills and gear needed to get the most outstanding aerial footage. It brings a new dimension to our storytelling as well as perspectives that haven’t been seen before.
FPV
The FPV revolution brought a new dynamic to filmmaking and we followed the trend from the beginning. We have some of the best FPV pilots in our team and they are always ready to push the throttle no matter the situation.
UNDERWATER
We love shooting in the mountains but some of us love even more shooting deep down below the surface. Capturing underwater footage is also one of our trademark and passion.
INDOOR
Shooting indoors requires certain skills such as mastering lighting and we have all the gear and knowledge to turn any indoor environment into a real movie scene.

OUR GEAR
RED V-RAPTOR
RED cinema cameras are THE reference in cinematography. We usually shoot all our productions on the RED V-Raptor
and/or RED Komodo when in need of a lighter set-up.
DJI MAVIC 3 PRO CINE
For all of our aerial footage, we usually shoot on the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine offering unmatched performances with 3 different cameras and 5.1K ProRes while still being small and light enough to be carried on the most ambitious expeditions. When in need of a lighter drone set-up to respect regulations for example, we shoot our DJI Mini 4 Pro
SONY ALPHA 1
When we shoot photos or need a lighter, more run-and-gun set-up, we also own different Sony Alpha cameras: the Sony A1, being Sony’s reference camera, as well as the Sony A7SIII, the best camera ever when filming in low light conditions.
CINEMA LENSES
We shoot everything on cinema lenses. We also shoot on anamorphic lenses when we’re looking to push the aesthetic of our productions to the max. It gives such a cinematic feel to the image and we absolutely love this look.
STABILIZING SYSTEMS
Depending on the story we want to tell and the mood we want to give, we sometimes shoot handheld and sometimes use gimbals, special devices that are stabilizing our cameras on all axis.
FPV DRONES
FPV drones, or first-person-view drones allow us to bring an entire new dynamic to our productions. Depending on what we shoot, we either use big racer drones that are super fast or small cinewhoop drones that are more agile for tighter environments.
UNDERWATER HOUSING
We deeply love shooting underwater and for that, we have professional underwater housings together allowing us to get the most crispy shots by bringing our Sony A1 underwater.
LIGHTING SOLUTIONS
With our complete set of studio lights, neon lights, RGB lights, etc, we have everything we need to turn any indoor environment into a movie set.
